Clichy completes move to Turkey
Gael Clichy claims his new team Istanbul Basaksehir remind him of Manchester City.
Clichy, 31, has joined Basaksehir on a three-year deal after being released by City at the end of last season.
The French full-back snubbed Galatasaray and Fenerbahce to sign for last season’s Turkish Super Lig runners-up and says they are ambitious like the Blues.
“Basaksehir gave me the impression of Manchester City,” he said.
“City is a club that’s been improving for the last eight years. I’ve told my Basaksehir team-mates that this team could become a mini City.
“Fenerbahce was interested, but there were no offers. I’ve met people from Galatasaray and Basaksehir.
“Once I’d met both sides, it was an easy decision. From Galatasaray, only one person came to see me. When I met people from Basaksehir, I saw it was a great project. It’s not always about business, money and trophies, it’s sometimes about the human side.”

Sanchez 'wants City move'
alex sanchez wants to leave arsenal this summer and wants to play in the Champions League with Manchester City according to sources in Chile.
Arsene Wenger is determined to keep his star forward at the north London club and was hoping the club record signing of Alexandre Lacazette could persuade him to stay.
But Sanchez appears to have already made up his mind and after speaking with friends and his family, the 28-year-old wants to play in Europe’s biggest competition next season.
Chile newspaper El Mercurio is reporting that Manchester City have made a £47million offer to sign the prolific striker.
Dani Alves to complete City move early next week
Dani Alves will have his medical early next week before sealing his switch to Manchester City from Juventus.
Alves, 34, is due in Manchester at the start of next week to tie up his free transfer to the Etihad and will sign a two-year deal to be reunited with his former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.
The terms of the deal have been agreed for some time and City have been prepared to wait while Alves attended pal Lionel Messi’s wedding in Argentina last weekend.
City saw little point in interrupting Alves’ holiday in South America to bring him to Manchester for a medical.
Alves has completed his holiday and will begin pre-season training with City early next week.
The Brazilian will then jet off a week later with his new City team-mates on their pre-season tour of the United States.
