top 5 Man United News This Sunday: United Reveal The Day To Announce Their Second Signing

5. Ryan Giggs keen on Southampton job

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is reportedly keen on the vacant managerial post at Southampton.
The 43-year-old has been linked with a number of jobs since stepping down as United assistant following the arrival of Jose Mourinho last summer. But the Welsh has not yet landed his first permanent role in management.
Giggs did spend a short spell in charge of United after David Moyes was sacked in April 2014; winning two, drawing one and losing one of his four Premier League games at the helm.
According to the Daily Mail, the former United winger is eager to launch his managerial career following a year-long break from the game; and sees the Southampton job as an ideal opportunity to do that.

4. Cristiano Ronaldo has ruled out Man United return

Cristiano Ronaldo will not return to Manchester United, despite sensational reports today that he’s ready to leave Real Madrid.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola on this Friday claimed Ronaldo wants out of Santiago Bernabeu. There’s even a suggestion from a Portuguese journalist that he’s played his last game in Spain.
United have spent years hoping a sensational deal could be struck to re-sign the Portugal superstar. In 2012, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward made it his mission to lure Ronaldo back after succeeding David Gill.
He held extensive talks with Real chiefs but wasn’t able to land his man.
And it seems a move for Ronaldo will remain a pipe dream for United – because Ronaldo doesn’t want it.
A club source recently said: “Ronaldo has made it clear that he won’t ever come back to United. It could have happened at one stage, but not now.”
“The club has now accepted a deal for him will never happen and has moved on.”

3. Roma interested in Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj

Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has reportedly gained interest from Roma.
Januzaj has just returned to Old Trafford after a disappointing year at relegated Sunderland on loan; where he failed to score in 25 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats.
Januzaj is expected to be sold by Mourinho in order to bring in more funds and according to DHNet, Roma are keen on the 22-year-old.
Belgium international Januzaj is being regarded by Roma as a cut-price replacement of Liverpool target Mohamed Salah.

2. Manchester United set to bid for €46m rated Barcelona midfielder

Manchester United have been heavily linked with AS Monaco star Fabinho, but they are also set to table a €46 million bid for the Portuguese star Andre Gomes.
The box-to-box midfielder signed from Valencia last year by Barcelona for €35m, but was not a huge hit at the Camp Nou; and thus the Catalans may be willing to talk to their United counterparts.
According to The Daily Star, Jose Mourinho is interested in boosting his midfield following his successful capture of Victor Lindelof.

1. Alvaro Morata to Man United could be announced Tuesday

Manchester United’s pursuit of Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata has dragged out over the last couple of weeks; but reports in Spain suggest Man United are confident of sealing the deal in the next few days.
COPE in Spain say United are hopeful of announcing a deal for Morata on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
The hold-up has always been around the price United are offering Real Madrid for Morata because the Spaniard wants to move, he’s desperate for first-team football.
If United can announce it by Tuesday, then there will have been some big movement in the negotiations between Ed Woodward and Florentino Perez in the last couple of days
